We see this as more of a decorative watch than something to keep your important appointments by. The watch winds and runs for about 6 to 7 hours. The jewels are there to provide hard surfaces for friction points inside the watch mechanism to improve reliability. The 17 jewels makes this watch a "fully-jeweled" timepiece with an appropriate number of jewels for a reliable mechanical watch. The system was widely used from the late 1940s through the 1950s. Incabloc is a shock-protection system introduced in 1934. The brand is associated with good quality, affordable timepieces. The original company was acquired by Lucien Piccard (The LP Watch Group). The Arnex brand originated in the Swiss Jura, the heart of the Swiss watch-making industry, from a community called Arnex-sur-Orbe. Add another 3/4 inch for the winder and bail. The watch face measures 1 1/2 inches across. The goldtone case has the look of old Victorian watches with hunters in a deer field embossed on one side and a classic design scrolled on the other.
